Nat 5 Inequalities
An inequation or inequality shows a relationship between two expressions or terms which are not equal to each other. There are four symbols we use in inequalities:
< “is less than”
> “is greater than”
“is less than or equal to”
“is greater than or equal to”
We solve inequalities in the same way as we solve equations. However if we multiply or divide the inequality by a negative value, we switch the direction of the inequality sign.
