Nat 5 Pythagoras
In a right-angled triangle, the hypotenuse is the side of the triangle which is opposite the right-angle.
Pythagoras’ Theorem states that for a right-angled triangle, the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the other sides.
We can use Pythagoras’ Theorem to find the length of a side of a right-angled triangle, show that a triangle is right-angled, in 3D problems and in questions involving chords of circles.
